as my regulay activity this morning i opened microsoft.com, it took a bit long than usual to open. but hey, its totally new website. i like it.
its a bit heavy, but not heavy as adobe.com which loads many stylesheets & javascripts before anything else comes up :)

well, you are right on this.
they’ve already described that the change is only at the homepage in the about homepage link on the top. http://www.microsoft.com/about/mspreview/en/us/abouthomepage.mspx
they also described this is just the begining, sounds interesting to me.
yes, the website loads a bit slower that the old one. well new things brings new issues :P
