Silverlight, the Flash killer is here!

Finally Microsoft released Silverlight v1.0 to masses. Before 5 Sep 2007, only developers were using it. it had 0% penetration on Internet connected systems. Lets see how it goes. Also, there is new update of Silverlight 1.1 alpha. I’m really excited about this new technology. Silverlight: better right-click

Microsoft is improving Silverlight in every new release. the new thing i noticed from many others, is a better version information for currently installed Silverlight runtime through right-click context menu. It shows complete version info including build numbers. User can also set Silverlight Update options under the Updates tab. Microsoft Silverlight getting better

They just announced Silverlight 1.0 RC1 and 1.1 Alpha Refresh. According to blog post by Tim Sneath, MS have fixed 2000 bugs in Silverlight 1.0, that’s really cool. Apollo is AIR, Flex 3 is Beta, Flash Player 9 is Accelerated

Its now public, Apollo is now officially named AIR (Adobe Integrated Runtime) by Adobe. There’s a new beta version of the runtime is available along with the SDK on Adobe Labs. The other good news is, Flex 3 beta is also released on Adobe Labs. Flex 3 beta supports development of AIR applications.
